The Importance of Personal Projects
and How They Lead to More Work
I've always believed in having personal projects related to photography. My personal projects keep me in love with photography by giving me an outlet to show the work I love. When we are working on projects for clients we are working on a different level and we always need to feed our creative soul. Personal projects can be simple or complex but the important thing is to have one.
This weekend I went to a fundraiser and found photographers working on two different persoanl projects. The first was a very cool project called " Love from LA" in which this photographer has people taking photo's of themselves holding a sign with the Asian character for Love and uploading it to their site. She is also taking photographs of people on her own to add to this but I love that people any where in the world can participate in this. To add images to this site go to: http://www.fromla.org/
The second photo project was by another photographer working on a ITO project. ITO strands for string and from what I learned she is photographing people with a simple red string and joining the images together to show a connection with people all over the world. The facebook fan page for this project is. ITO Project
Today my intern and I will go out and shoot images to add to the From LA site. Join me!
