A Finalist: 2011 Texas Monthly Short Film Contest
Where I'm From
Last Friday, I was pleased to find out that my short film, Where I'm From, was selected as a finalist in the 2011 Texas Monthly Short Film Contest that's held in conjunction with the Austin Film Festival.
The theme of the contest is to make a film that depicts where you are from and present it in ten minutes or less.
Luckily, I made the cut.
This film was shot over a couple of days with a Canon 5D Mark II camera and just a couple of lenses. Now, here's where you can help.
If you can, go here and vote on the film in the lower right hand corner of the frame. You'll have to register, but it only takes a second. I appreciate your help!

Thanks a lot guys. I appreciate it.
I have a couple of questions for you about the short film contest, do you mind helping me by answering them? Its for this new class I'm taking. And part of my quiz is knowing this stuff. I was wondering when the deadlinew was? and if you had to be present?
Very nice work, Russell. I voted!
No problem, Joanna. The deadline was May 31st and I did not have to be present.
