A Photograph is an Idea
When you really think about: How long does it really take to get an Idea?
To most of us, whether we really like it or not, a photograph is an Idea.
A photograph is an idea manifested outside of time. Or perhaps it’s an idea of time “stopped” or captured. It is an insight made visible. A look into who we are as artists. A window to our souls.
The intelligence is pre-logical. Can you separate form and content? And if you do does it take away from the success of the photograph? Form and content occur simultaneously most often in “successful” photographs. In fact, there may be no difference whatsoever between them.
A photograph is an Idea.

It certainly is Damien. I find inspiration all the time in a photograph. And an idea is born!
I like this idea. :) Better than the moment in time analogy.
"A window to our souls"... absolutely. That's the joy and reward of creating a photographic image...
