A Rock Photographer Legend Dies
Iconic Rock and Roll (or music in general) images are hard to come by these days. Of course there are great images being produced by talented photographers like Danny Clinch, but with the rise of sheer numbers of photos, and the decline of physical albums or CDs being purchased, music photos just don't have the same importance as they once did.
Even though I was born decades too late to remember "The Times They Are A Changin'" coming out on vinyl, the cover image of the young Bob Dylan is instantly recognizable to me, and immediately evokes emotions tied to that album for me.
The photographer who took that image and so many other important photos, Barry Feinstein, died today.
Even before I knew his name, his photos were inspiring me to choose the career path that I chose. And even though you might not know his name, take a look at some of his work and I'm sure you'll recognize his images.
