Multiple Methods to Add Digital Texture

There are many methods to add digital texture to paintings in either Corel Painter or Adobe Photoshop. This particuliar video explains some of the more interesting brushes in Painter and how to use them to accomplish the best texture results.

Other methods of introducing texture to digital paintings is to use an actual texture on a new layer and by utilizing "layer masks" they can be painted into the painting. That method is more useful for putting textures everywhere in the painting or into the backgrounds. This video applies to using a digital paintbrush to achieve textures in brushstrokes.
