Another Fujifilm Ad, This Time for the X100 and it is X-Rated
This is another one of the odd and beautiful ads that Fujifilm is running in Asian markets for its Finepix cameras.
Right after I posted the piece about the wonderful ads that Fujifilm is running in the Japanese TV market for its Finepix X10, PIXIQ reader Brick Yang alerted me to another Fuji ad, this one for the X100. This piece is also the work of photographer/director James Leung, who I assume was the creator of the X10 ads too. In both sets of videos the same "schoolgirl" walks through scenes.

This ad is 151 seconds long and although the same rapid crosscutting is involved as in the X10 ads, this film has a more delicate and romantic feel to it.
Brick notes that, " The title "浪摄流" means "walk anywhere and photography anywhere". The words of x100's ad is from the Japanese photographer 森山 大道 and 荒木经纬, and the x10's words are just a reorganization."

While I still haven't gotten the Finepix X10 demo I was promised by Fuji months ago I am happy to share these wonderful discoveries with the PIXIQ audience. These ads are a reminder that the cameras we all carry around can do more than just photograph sunsets and birthday parties. They can produce powerful, visual images of the world, if we just remember to "walk anywhere and photography anywhere.".
