Another milestone: More than 1.5 million page views
Photography is Not a Crime surpassed 1.5 million page views since January 2008 this past weekend, which is not bad considering I reached a million page views only five months ago, meaning I’ve averaged 100,000 page views a month since then.
The recent story on the Chicago-area cop who was jailed for rape after beating a 15-year-old student for having an untucked shirt – and who killed his ex-wife’s new husband only to be hired by another department – ended up getting posted on Reddit where it drew more than 18,000 page views on Saturday (as well as 761 upvotes and 313 comments on Reddit).
So I just wanted to say thanks to my readers who send me stories and tips and continue supporting this site, even if I have been slacking a little lately.

u are my idol!
Now how about an update on your legal case?? Thanks
Can you feel the love Carlos?
I began viewing this as a site concerned with photography. It has seemed to morph into a blog with a much wider perspective. I question whether the blog’s title is really accurate at this point. Still appreciate and enjoy it regardless.
Congrats Carlos!
Once again, the front page fails to list an LEO who didn’t commit murder, rape, and assault this week.
Would spending a couple hours finding one kill you, Carlos?
Along the lines of santa’s comment, I’d like to recommend that you do a book review of “Let’s Get Free, A Hip-Hop Theory of Justice” by Paul Bultler. It’s not photography, but it addresses police misbehavior nonetheless.
I kind of ditto Santa, but really like the blog on the whole.
Frank,
Still no update on my appeal although I check my mail everyday anticipating the moment I receive notice of a decision.
Congrats Carlos.
