Before Photoshop World Starts
A Gathering of the Tribe

I'm at one of my absolute favorite conventions, Photoshop World, being held this spring in Orlando, Florida. I have four classes to teach and an afternoon of portfolio reviews. That should keep me busy and out of most trouble this week.
I'll try and post almost every day, what I saw and did. This is one of the really fun events for all the instructors and attendees. Very much feels like a gathering of the digital tribe. Not to mention a great way to keep up your Photoshop and photography skills. Great, great classes from world class instructors.
Tonight, the day before the pre-convention classes, a lot of the instructors and PSW staff just hang around the hotel, The Rosen Centre, slap backs, catch up, exchange gossip, have a few drinks. I had a wonderful dinner with two of my favorite friends, Jay Maisel and Dan Steinhardt. Dan, or as the world knows him, Dano from Epson, is overseeing the instillation of Bert Monroy's gigantic mural. So of course we also had drinks with Bert and told stories. I saw Eddie Tapp, Judy Host, Julienne Kost, Jimmy DiVitale and his wife Helene Glassman, Matt Kloskowski, Rick Sammon, and so many more good folks. And the Convention hasn't even started. Somewhere tommorow, I'm sure to run into "V" (Robert Vanelli). If you've ever been to Photoshop World, you know V. He's not an instructor, not an attendee, not staff. He's a force of nature here.
Tuesday I'll be attending a pre-convention class on video, if there's room for me. The fun is just starting. Tuesday is usually quiet, but Wednesday starts the big Keynote opening. ALWAY a blast. Can't wait to see what Scott Kelby comes up with this year.
Stay tuned.
