Countdown to Canon Pro Solutions 2011
Canon’s two-day video, broadcast, and still photos expo extravaganza returns to London on 25 and 26 October. This year’s line up of speakers includes Canon Ambassador and motorsports photographer Frits van Eldik, photojournalist Dan Chung, New York-based fashion photographer Lara Jade, fashion, beauty and portrait photographer and filmmaker Clive Booth, photographer Liz Hingley, Adobe, Canon Ambassador and Senior Staff photographer for Getty Images Brent Stirton and photojournalist Peter Dench.
There’ll be a specialist HD zone where cinematographer Philip Bloom and film-maker and photographer Phil Coates will host a live professional film set. If you want to know what it’s like working with Canon’s latest XF range of professional camcorders, Canon broadcast lenses, and EOS dSLR cameras, this is the place to find out.
A 416 photograph panorama of London, shot by Phil Giles working with a 5D Mark II and an EF 300mm f/2.8L IS II USM lens using a GigaPan Epic Pro moving head will also be on display.
Naturally there’ll be a swathe of exhibitors attending, attempting to entice you with their wares and convince you to part with your hard-earned pennies for their latest goodies. This year, they include Adobe, The British Press Photographers’ Association (who will be running portfolio reviews from their stand), Calumet Photographic, Hire a Camera, Jacobs Digital Photo & Video, Lastolite, Light and Land, Manfrotto, Sennheiser, and The Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers. That’s to name but a few.
Entrance is free if you pre-register, but it’s £8 on the door. Everything’s going down at the Business Design Centre in Islington, London. You can find out a whole heap more if your interested in details from the Pro Solutions website.
