I've preached before how important I think it is for photographers to have their photographs printed, mounted, framed, and hanged. Some people have moved completely digital for display and haven't printed an image in months or years. I think it's a shame but that's just my opinion.

When the folks at CanvasPop asked me to review their products and services I, of course, jumped at the chance. I love prints and I print often but I've only had a few of my photographs printed on canvas.

I had my wife help pick out a photograph to use because she does love large canvas prints. When I say I let her help me pick one of my images for this review what I mean is that she picked one out. But you probably knew that if you're married.

This photograph has been one of her favorites that I hadn't printed out and mounted for our home so it was a natural plus it's one of the photographs from my fine art portfolio.

The ordering process through the CanvasPop website was easy and very user-friendly. A really good start to any experience. They've got tons of information and plenty of ideas to help you along the way. I really loved their Ideas Gallery where they even have a special section for photographers. Pretty cool.

I ordered a 24 X 36 1.5" deep canvas print with a black border which comes out to $179.00. You can get a white border or have the photo wrap around the edges. I liked how the black border framed this particular image. You can see that in the following images.

Ordering, as I alluded to earlier, was a breeze. Upload an image, select a size, add some artistic filters if you wish, add a few more options and you're basically done.

The turnaround time was pretty fast and the quality of the canvas print is really good. I've reviewed a few other canvas companies in the past and I loved the deep and rich texture that CanvasPop offers. The quality from CanvasPop is top-notch and I can definitely see myself ordering some more canvaswraps from them.

One of the cool things is that the canvas came ready to mount with hardware already installed on the back. Nice tight corners. The cool thing about canvas wrap prints is that you can skip the mounting and framing and go straight from ordering to hanging!

I'm very impressed with how this photograph on canvas turned out. My wife, the real judge, loves it.
