New Sony Camera Coming Soon
Sony A77
I have been waiting for this camera for a while now after hearing so much about it. Yesterday it was finally announced to the world and starting in October it will be available.
I haven't seen a camera this impressive in a long time. If you're not familiar with the Sony Alpha line of camera's then just take a look at this video promo on the A77. It will be great for shooting models on the beach as its key controls are sealed against dust and moisture. In the past shooting on the beach has been a nightmare in many ways with sand, wind and moisture but this should be a game changer. The video also seems very impressive with continuious focus possible because of Sony's translusent mirror. Have you ever tried shooting video of a subject moving right at you with a Canon?

The camera comes out in October and I can't wait to get my hands on one. As soon as I do I promise to share my images here.
Can you fix the focus on a blurry photo after the fact?

I remember my Canon with the fixed mirror of the 60's and wouldn't want to try another. Not only was there a loss of light of that was optimistically said to be a half stop but there were other problems and Canon didn't continue with it. Being sealed will help prevent dust and damage to the mirror hopefully but you still need to take the lens off to change the lens making the delicate mirror vulnerable. Does Sony provide any way to clean the mirror as it will certainly be more delicate than sensors are?
