Cyan, not just another color
My family torn apart by mental illness, cyanotype
So if you don’t know how to make an invert (digital negative) in Photoshop, it’s all laid out clearly in my book; but in order to transfer your images onto wearable fabric using fabric treated with cyanotype or Blueprint, you need to print out a negative (digital invert) on acetate (this can be done in a laser or inkjet printer). Then you can output it easily on specially prepared fabric (which you can get at blueprints.com– or you can make your own prepared fabric or paper ( more on that in my book, Digital Image Transfer: Creating Art With Your Photography)- you can also alter the final color and again the steps are in my book. So don’t throw those photos out: scan them, make them into negatives , make wearable art and altered one–of a kind items. And as always, ever art.
