ExpoImaging Teams with One Model Place for Ray Flash Photo Contest [Press Release]
Contest to Award Photographers for Best Pictures Taken with
Ray Flash Ring Light Adapter
WATSONVILLE, CA/MIAMI, FL, January 16, 2009—ExpoImaging Inc., developer
of innovative camera accessories, including the ExpoDisc Digital White
Balance Filter and the ExpoAperture2 Depth-of-Field Guide, and One Model
Place, the world’s largest online portfolio and talent community, today
announced a contest in which the best images shot with ExpoImaging’s Ray
Flash ring light adapter will be published in national photo trade
magazines. In addition to this valuable publishing opportunity, the winning
photographers will receive high-end photo gear, as well as a Platinum+
membership to One Model Place.
Photographers interested in entering the contest must be members of One
Model Place and should log onto www.onemodelplace.com/expoimaging to
complete the simple entry form. Submitters must include both the contest
photo taken with a Ray Flash, plus a photo of themselves shooting while
using the product. Photos may be submitted for consideration from January
16 through March 31, 2009. All entries will be judged by a team of
professional photographers and winners will be announced on April 15 at
www.onemodelplace.com.
“This is a great opportunity to showcase the results that Ray Flash can
offer to creative photographers,” said Erik Sowder, president of
ExpoImaging, “Having just recently reduced the price of Ray Flash to make
it more accessible to hobbyists and professionals alike, we expect to
receive a lot of high-quality contest entries.”
The Ray Flash is a portable, lightweight adapter for shoe-mount flash units
that creates a distinctive lighting effect, producing a virtually shadowless
look on the front of the subject, while leaving a soft, even shadow around
the edges. The versatile adapter is ideally suited for fashion, wedding,
portrait, journalist and macro photography, as either a main or fill light.
The winning photo will be published in a full page ad in the June issue of
Rangefinder, and its photographer will receive a complete set of Honl Photo
Speed System light modifiers, an ExpoDisc, a Lensbaby Composer from
Lensbaby, an 8GB Pro Card from Lexar, and instructional videos from Kelby
Training and Software Cinema.
The second place image will be included in a half page ad in the June issue
of Shutterbug, along with a starter set of Honl Photo Speed System light
modifiers, an ExpoDisc, a Lensbaby Muse, a 4GB Pro Card from Lexar, and the
Kelby Training and Software Cinema instructional videos.
First and second place winners will also receive a Platinum+ membership to
One Model Place which allows photographers access to all of the
community’s premier features and functions.
“The Ray Flash Photo Contest is an excellent way to present and promote
the inspired work that the highly-talented One Model Place community
produces,” said Sean Murdock, professional photographer and director of
creative marketing at One Model Place. “The Ray Flash Photo Contest is
one of many valuable opportunities a photographer can uncover in visiting
One Model Place.”
