Fans turn rabid on Pitbull during Calle Ocho festival
Miamians love Pitbull because he is one of their own. One of our own.
But apparently that doesn’t give the rapper a pass to refuse an encore song after performing in front of his hometown audience.
After Pitbull left the stage and refused to come back for an encore during his performance at the Calle Ocho street festival Sunday, his fans turned rabid; booing him, insulting him, flipping him off and throwing things towards the stage to show their disapproval.
Such is the life in Miami.
Otherwise, the Calle Ocho festival was relatively peaceful. I didn’t see any fights. I saw only one arrest. And I only saw one person passed out.
It was a mild one compared to previous years.

Vaya que desgracia que Pitbull ditched the crowd. I guess I missed out on the Shennanigans there.
Damn, Mr. 305 couldn’t give ‘em a round two? Hahaha. Now the Miami Street Band, that’s a baaaaaaddd band there! Where do I get more info on these fellas?
how typical of miami, love you one minute, hate you the next, not big into loyalty here…
The beginning of that video doesn’t look like something in the US. awesome! (too much culture, i think)
Cool video, Carlos. What were they throwing?
Woe,
A little more on the Miami Street Band.

Bulldog,

Genewitch,
Many times Miami feels like a foreign country.
Gus,
They were throwing plastic bottles, beer cans, shampoo samples that they had handed out and who knows what else.
Carlos -
Great video. Saw people pouring down 8th Street all day long from Brickell. Beauty of Calle Ocho is it’s a real street festival and you captured it perfectly. Poor Pit Bull, but that’s our town – love em one minute and hate on them the next.
If you don’t like cubans why don’t you mind your own business for once? You are always sticking your nose on the cuban stuff, please man live and let live, otherwise you are kind of a masoquist.
Moonlight,
Are you talking to me?
did anyone saw Erre XI??? they were the highlight of that day!! plus they looked soooo damn hot!!
