News in brief: Fujifilm Increase their Prices

Fuji have announced today that they are to increase the price of all their phoographic paper, including motion picture film. On a statement on Fujifilm.com, they said:

To sustain its photo imaging business, Fujifilm has been undertaking intensive structural reforms to reduce fixed costs and improve productivity, and has been absorbing the increasing costs of raw materials used to manufacture Photographic Papers over the past years. However, the soaring costs of silver and other raw materials since last autumn have reached the point where they can no longer be offset by Fujifilm’s continuous effort, and it had announced the price increase on Photographic Papers in December, 2010.
