Hello Canvas Review AND Giveaway!
The fine folks at Hello Canvas sent me an invitation to review their canvas printing technology. I accepted and I got them to give you a special offer that’s at the end of the review but first…
Photos mounted on canvas.
Let’s preface this review with a little background on my past experiences with canvas printing. When I worked at a portrait photography studio one of the products we offered was large photos on canvas. These canvas options were a hit with our customers. There’s just something special about a family portrait in a large format hanging on the wall and mounted on canvas. The company we used (I can’t remember who it was because that wasn’t my job when I worked there) was okay. I had always thought that the process they used was a bit lacking in aesthetics. That company would seemingly just take standard canvases and mount enlarged photographs on the canvas. Then they would use some sort of sealant and brush stroke finish to complete the “package”. Meh. It wasn’t really for me.
That’s why I never offered canvas prints when I opened my own photography studio. I just didn’t really like the idea of a photograph mounted to a canvas and then calling it a photograph on canvas.
So when I got this canvas review offer from Hello Canvas I was slightly hesitant. I just didn’t know if they were going to use the same process so I did a little research.
The reviews around the net were pretty good so I decided to give them a go. Besides, it’s been about 6 years since my last experiences with photos printed on canvas and I wanted to see what’s changed in that industry.
I sent them this image for printing.
I figured my wife would love this photograph enlarged in canvas and boy was I right!
Here’s the actual canvas that Hello Canvas sent me.
It came out beautifully. Way beyond my expectations.
A better canvas photograph!
The image is printed on the canvas not just mounted to the canvas. This makes a world of difference. To say that I’m happy with the results is an understatement.
The colors are spot on and the printing technology they use prints beautifully. They use Epson printers and regular readers know I LOVE Epson’s printing technology.
This product I would offer if I were still running a portrait and wedding photography studio today. I’d be very happy to present this kind of quality to my customers.
And I’m very happy to recommend Hello Canvas to you for your canvas printing needs.
Not just because they did a great job with this canvas photo but because their customer service is fantastic AND because they “try to work in a way that minimizes the environmental impact and the CO2 emissions of our production facilities, in order to offer our children the chance to print their memories on canvas in the future.” That’s a company I’ll stand behind ANY day.
Great product and great company.
I’m giving Hello Canvas a
5 out of 5!
