Hidden Camera, Crouching Camera Case

The Camera That’s a Case With a Case For Your Smartphone

 gizmonthmb.jpg

Do the other photographers laugh at you when you shoot with your Smartphone? Do they make fun of your apps? Has your girlfriend left you for a guy with a real camera? Has your box seat in the “early adopters “sky box turned into a concrete bench in the bleachers? Does the watercooler crowd slip away when you approach?

Well buck up Bub, for now there's a way to show the world your stuff and get back your position as Mr. Very Coolman. And not to mention, to once again shine in the eyes of your ladylove. All it takes is a quick stop at www.fourcornerstore.com where you can buy your own Gizmon iCA iPhone Case.

It’s a case for your iPhone that looks and handles like a real camera, specifically an old rangefinder like the Leica III. Made of super tough Polycarbonate, it has a working shutter button (that trips the phone's shutter), two detachable lenses and an attachable tripod mount for long exposures (see above photo). You can even attach a neck strap (not included) to give you the extra cachet of a street photographer. You’ll no longer look like just another slob on the bus talking to himself on his iPhone to feel important. With the Gizmon around your neck, you’ll look like you just got back from covering the “Arab Spring.”

And best of all you still won’t have to know anything about those pesky apertures, shutter speed and focusing stuff--because you’ll be shooting with your hidden iPhone.

The case is $65 and is made by a Japanese company Adplus. You can learn more about it at www.gizmon.com

Still haven’t heard enough? Well, while you’re at the FourCornerStore check out the great all weather cases they have for your Gizmon iCA iPhone case. That's right you can get a case for your case for your Smartphone to help protect it too from life's little slings and arrows.

Now how cool is that?

Hi Steve,

I am truly over-awed by its awesomeness (aagh!)....not.

Way back in the days of early brick-type mobile 'phones I was on a train to Pisa, Italy when one of life's born pretty-boy poseurs, complete with flickable quiff, ostentatiously talked on his 'phone for all to hear. It was the 'look at me you poor suckers' gazes he gave the other passengers in the carriage that must have triggered divine intervention for the train lurched man staggered and phone fell bursting open on impact to reveal it was but an empty shell. As the proverb says pride goeth before a fall.

People hooted with derision. I admit I stifled a guffaw but felt sad that such was the need for image - the 'bella figura' he went to the extent he did. In the bag on the rack were my battered Nikons and a clunky old Mamiya 6x7 much less awesomer (!) in the scheme of things. But they had guts!

Funny ol' world!

Paul
