I've been outed - Sarah Palin for Prez is me
It started off as a way to deal with my frustrations through humor over the thought of Sarah Palin being one heartbeat away from the presidency; the way I created a fictional fool on an anonymous blog who was in lust over Palin because she not only can kill a moose, she can fry it up in a pan.
The blog is called Sarah Palin for Prez and until now, only two people knew it was me although I’m sure people suspected it was me because the clues were there.
But today, the Philadelphia Inquirer outed me as owner of the blog, not that I didn’t go along with it.
In an article titled It’s Supermom! Or is it? about how Palin has emerged as a modern super woman, the reporter mentions me and my blog in the following sentence.
Sarah Palin’s full plate led blogger Carlos Miller (http://sarahpalinforprez.blogspot.com) to spoof: “Sarah Palin gets my vote because she is a true modern woman in that she can shoot a moose, fry it up in a pan, and never let me forget that she is a woman.”
So yes, it is a spoof. The character is the complete opposite of who I really am. I swear. Sorry Blind Mind for giving you a hard time that day (I think you deleted my comment). I was only kidding.

carlos….we got to find you a regular job, and get the lawsuit behind you….you’re slipping into the vortex….i’ll round up some folks for an intervention if it’s needed ….al
Congratulations, Carlos! I ‘m a big fan of scams like this — I’m guilty of similar (if lesser) sins in almost every post I run — and you pulled it off like a pro.
I didnt delete it. I think you used the term “sexist” in a comment on SFDB because I said something about “the best man for the job” when talking about how I base my vote and then you followed up w/ a post on my blog. I just thought there was someone out there that was that naive.
Al,
You’re absolutely right. I’m obsessing.
Squathole,
Thanks, dude. This is the first time I’ve tried anything like this. It was fun for the first two weeks but then it got a little boring, especially because that blog didn’t have near the readership this blog does.
Blind Mind,
I remember seeing “the man for the job” and I couldn’t resist jumping all over that because my fictionalized Palin fan was searching for any excuse to legitimize her candidacy, regardless of how absurd it was.
Carlos,
admit it. You’ve got a Palin crush.
She’s not a bad looking woman. As long as she doesn’t open her mouth.
