Kid Fish

Do you ever wonder?
Do you ever wonder what it's like to be a kid again and spend carefree summer days enveloped by your joyful surroundings?
All it takes for me to re-connect is to go fishing .  Watching my kids catch fish in the farm pond that's on the land where I grew up is a link to my past and to our collective future as a family.  The joy that such a simple activity brings them is concurrently endearing and hopeful.
Right now, times are tough all over.  Watching them have fun makes all of the worries of a crippling drought, oppressive heat and economic turmoil disappear - if just for a little while.
