Leica users raising money for charity
From 30 June 2010 if you sign up to follow Leica’s Twitter account, Leica Camera AG will donate €0.50 to the UK-based Association for International Cancer Research (AICR).
If @Leica_Camera reaches 10,000 followers by 9 July 2010, Leica will donate an extra €1,000, so you get a double value whammy of happiness for your following: Interesting news from one of the most respected camera companies in the world, and the fuzzy feeling of helping raising cash for charity.
Leica users aren’t just raising money through Twitter followers, though. 101 photographers who are members of the independent International Leica User Forum have pooled their skills to produce the Leica User Forum Charity Book 2010. At 172 pages, it displays a broad range of images and is available through Blurb for €95, with €6 from each purchase going to support AICR.
