My Lightroom Workflow — 13 Min. Video
How and why I do what I do in LR
A real-time video of selecting image and working in Lightroom. Not meant to be a how-to on using various Lightroom techniques.
It is was originally an 18-minute video, but I cut it down to 13 minutes to fit on YouTube and also because it was taking too long to render and upload.
This is my first attempt at using voiceover to make an online lesson. It is about 13 minutes long and was done in real time, which is to say, I just sat down at the computer and went through what the process is like for me.
The web is filled with lessons on Lightroom and various techniques. What I was trying to do was to give a sense of how I worked with Lightroom. I have to admit that I may have goofed with one point — that I selected one of Lightroom's presets, whereas in reality I use my own presets.
Going forward, I would like to show the why of using various techniques, rather than just the how. That is at the heart of the process. The question is not so much how to use the graduated filter, but what is behind the artistic decision: picking images that are possibles and doing a bit of work to get to a working print of an image.
What took the longest was learning to use Premiere Pro to do a bit of editing and removing some of my throat clearing.

Very interesting screencast.
But "we"? "matt"? Please do not take for granted that everyone knows the shorthand you are using. Thank you.
Matt is Matt Weber, a friend of mine. You can see his work at http://mattweberphotos.wordpress.com/
