Introducing my new book:
"Rethinking Digital Photography - Making & Using Traditional & Contemporary Photo Tools"
If you are on Facebook, find my - Rethinking Digital Photography - page here.
When you go there, please have a LOOK at my galleries- LIKE the book page- and BUY the book at Amazon, Barnes and Noble in the USA, Chapters/Indigo in Canada and other fine book stores in the UK, Austrailia, New Zealand and other countries worldwide.
Current prices on Amazon are pre-order but the book is in stock now and shipping.
This is not your typical digital photography book!
Rethinking Digital Photography takes you off course from traditional digital photography and into the world of off-beat, experimental and fun photography. From making fun cameras out of household items, to recycling older cameras to serve a newer use, this book is a fun journey through alternative shooting that will open your eyes to a different way to make images. From using TTV camera lenses to panorama and 3D shooting, these techniques will expand any photographer's repertoire.
"The beauty of photography is that we can connect in the beauty of light!" – JN
The images in the gallery were either inspired by the book or were inspirational to its making.
Here are a few comments from those who have bought the book:
- Liese says: "Just showed the book to my girlfriend and she is going to order it when she gets back to AZ. I will order copies for our library in the Fall. The pages are beautiful, so well designed: large enough type, simple, clear instructions which make the info and techniques non-threatening and the images DO inspire. The HDR is something I hadn't worked with but I will now. I am a film shooter but the ideas are incredible for my teaching. Outstanding job…"
- Walter says: "I received your book today. What fun! Lots of cool stuff to stimulate the imagination and creative spirit. I definitely will have to try some of it. I see you have quite a bit of Stereo related topics. Great idea to provide the red/blue glasses."
- Glenn says - "Looks like a bunch of us are going to be "hitting the book" this weekend! Can't wait to learn 1% of what John knows!"
