New Painting App for iPhone and iPad
One of my favorites is always with me now!
DAP Auto Painting for iPhone & iPad
Mediachance has one of my favorite autopainting programs called "DAP" for short it stands for Dynamic Auto Painter. Now they have launched a version for your phone and the iPad. These samples are all from my iPhone of a simple close up of spring flowers in bloom around our house taken with the iPhone on a spring walk.

Here is the photo with the Photoshop information about the size as it came out of the phone. Because all DAP software resizes things when it is saved, it becomes relevant to the art.

This app is really simple but so cool. Watching it paint alone is entertaining. This is their first version of it and therefore it is very simple and limited in choices. There are four basic choices for painting the photo.
Aquarell: Running colors, water removal, dry scratches: it is all there in this wonderful style. Works great on flowers, landscapes, old buildings or even people.

Benson: Inspired by work of Frank Benson (1862-1951). This style has a sunny palette with Mediterranean tones. It does enhance inner light and color harmony and it works best on sunny landscapes and outdoors.

Cezanne: Inspired by late work of Paul Cezanne (1839 - 1906). Painted on an artistic paper, the quick brush strokes with warm, and yellows and chalk details will work wonders on flowers and still life.
Van Gogh: Inspired by Van Gogh’s Starry Night painting. You will discover his signature swirls, bended reality and blue tones with orange details. This style works great on night life photography and landscapes especially if water reflection is involved.

In the full version for the computer of DAP there is a lot more you can do with it and many other controls and brush choices plus third party developers have created other brushes much like we do for Corel Painter. Then they are installed and show up to be used. But the iPad and iPhone versions are for fun, ideas and post fast on the internet.
Lets see what you can do with it and have some fun with your art.

I have experimented with a few images. I will enjoy trying this app. Used the Aquarell style.
