Nikon's D7000 bags an award

Nikon's D7000

Nikon has just added European Advanced SLR Camera of the Year 2011-2012 from EISA (that’s the European Imaging and Sound Association, for those of us not quite up to speed on all these organisations) to the TIPA (Technical Image Press Association) accolade of Best dSLR Advanced for its D7000.

Nikon puts it all down to making the D7000 such great value for money, with its new 16.2 megapixel CMOS sensor, its autofocusing and metering system, and its magnesium alloy body.

As far as EISA was concerned, the D7000 builds on the success of the D300 and D300s, has excellent noise control capabilities, and offers amateurs the opportunity to take professional looking images.

If you already have a D7000, good choice! If you’re thinking of upgrading, maybe you should take a look?
