Not Just for Photogs: How Smart Phones are Changing Everything
Musicians Are Using Them, Too!
It obvious: take one look at Facebook on any given day, and you'll see thousands of photo and video uploads from smart phones. Mobile technology is reinforcing what many photographers have come to realize since the explosion of digital photography: technology creates an opportunity for creativity of use as much as it does creativity of vision.
Just look at the facts. Consider that the Apple iPhone is the most commonly used camera on Flickr. Factor in the applications that are now available for Droids and iPhones, and you have a long list of Cool Things You Can Do with your phone. It all points to the same thing: if you build it, they will use it in as many ways possible, and often those uses have absolutely nothing to do with the intended use.
This is all a preamble to an interesting, entertaining, and barely relevant video I saw recently.

Loved it. Next we need a phone that does the vocals and with which you could actually record the video of that performance ---- oooops; We're at least half way to that point, aren't we
Actually, I think the singer was using his phone as a mic, and it sounded like he was plugged in to an amp.
And the people recording the video were using iPhones as well, AND they edited the film on their iPhones.
Cool.
