Nude vs. Implied Nude
Is there a difference or is it all semantics
While not willing to pose nude, some models are available for “implied nude” poses where the model is actually nude but because of the pose and where she places her hands in not fully, uncovered nude. I once asked a model to help me understand this attitude and she explained it this way: She wasn’t concerned about me seeing her nude, she was only worried about the photographs because they can leave a lasting impression as the 2009 Miss USA discovered when nude photos of her were released after she received her crown. Another category of nude is the “anonymous nude” where the model is willing to pose nude but doesn’t want her face to appear in the photographs. This is more often the case for fine art nude photography than when shooting glamour but that doesn’t mean you can’t give it try and see if the images work for you and the model.

Later, a photographer/friend told me this photograph is not an “implied nude” because the model is wearing something so go figure. This image was made at during the Arizona Shootout using a Canon EOS D60 and 28-105mm lens and a bit too much fill flash. Exposure was 1/160 sec at f/8.0 and ISO 200." height="600" width="400" />
