Occupy DC Activist Threatens To Break Camera "In A Million G*ddamn Pieces"

Here's a seven-minute video that should have been just one minute.

And that one minute doesn't start until six minutes into the video when a tough-talking Occupy DC activist threatens to destroy the camera held by Adam Kokesh's videographer.

Kokesh was on hand doing his usual job of trying to discredit the Occupy movement, which of course, is his journalistic right.

Kokesh's beef with the Occupy movement is that they are not hellbent on electing Ron Paul as president as he is. So he does all he can to try to paint the activists as Stalinistic political ignoramuses.

And as we see in the final minute of the video, that is not hard to do.

Kokesh's issues with the Occupy DC activists began a month ago when they tried to block him from recording their general assembly in a public park.

He was also one of the activists arrested last summer for dancing in the Jefferson Memorial.

In 2008, he was detained for trying to video record a traffic stop in Washington D.C.

It's not the politicians, or the corporations, or the police that will bring an end to the Occupy movement. It'll be the few idiots that keep popping up aggressively claiming they have rights that they do not have (ie: to bust your camera etc.) or that somehow they decide who-is-allowed-to-do-what in a public space, as if they have commandeered it.

When you treat people like shit you loose the respect of the people - it's both the message they're preaching, and the lesson that they can't seem to grasp.

Yeah, that attitude that far too many Occupiers have, that they have unalienable rights, but all other members of The People have none, could well result in a counter-movement to Occupy the Occupiers (well, maybe not...but it'd be funny if it did).

They are all just spoiled punks and ignorant ones at that. Even with their "college loans" outstanding. If that is the result of college - then they should be suing their schools and not breaking the laws.

I am one of the lucky ones.. I fought for my country, had friends die for this country. I am grateful to not have student loans, but my fiance will have over 75k in student loans once it’s all said and done. I am a Licensed Practical Nurse will no job prospects. I haven’t been employed in over a year. Someone is always more qualified than me. I couldn’t get a job as a waitress as I was over-qualified. This is ridiculous and this needs to end now. I am grateful for my position in life, but know in seconds it could all change. I am the 99%.occupywallst.org

No, this video shows that in any crowd of people there will always be standout idiots. This video does not show the views of the entire crowd, so your analysis is a gross generalization

Where was that? The dynamic is different depending what area they are in, with Occupy Boston and the Original Occupy Wall St in NYC being the most peaceful and Occupy Oakland being the worst. While I generally support the Occupy concept, Occupy Oakland is so bad I will be cheering the cops when they bust it up.

I still support the fundamental premise of the occupy movement, but the majority that are peaceful REALLY need to ramp up the intolerance towards the smaller violent faction and push those assholes out.
It's pretty obvious food vendors are NOT part of the 1%, they are not obligated to provide free food to anyone and probably stopped because they could no longer afford it. Has there been any condemnation of this act from other people in Occupy San Diego?

Actually, Guy, Occupy Buffalo is the most peaceful. ZERO arrests, minimal to no police presence, in part because they have the support of the Buffalo police union, the support of Buffalo Common Council (Buffalo's city council) members, and a city permit to occupy, and because they're behaving themselves. The most violent thing that's happened there is a woman broke a glass bottle on the ground during an argument over whether or not to form a women's caucus. It bugs me that Carlos hasn't posted about them at all. I know their media relations person, so I'd have no trouble putting Carlos in contact with him. The group is VERY media-friendly.

Disclaimer: I am neither for nor against the Occupy movement, but I am a strong supporter of our Constitutionally-granted rights, and just think that the other Occupy groups should look at Buffalo as a shining example of how to handle things.

Carlos posts about abuses of civil rights, specifically those aimed at photography. Why would he post about places where there aren't any such abuses?

It sounds Occupy Buffalo is doing it right. They must be very quick to push out any violent elements, unlike occupy Oakland which is plagued with them. I agree, Occupy Buffalo IS the right way to go, it would be nice if someone did a new piece on them.

I'm think'n a lot of the so-called 99%ers are people who just are not willing to start at an entry level job and work their way up by giving their employers excellent job performances. I don't fault them for wanting everything (so do I!) but they seem to want it all RIGHT NOW! Deferring gratification does not appear to be a part of their repertoir.
