OMG everything looks weird!
Don’t be alarmed, we haven’t been hacked, I’ve just finally gotten around to getting a decent design on the Photocritic site!
It takes a tiny little bit of getting used to, but I’m sure you’ll figure it all out soon enough – nothing has changed too drastically, the main difference is that the site doesn’t look nearly as crap as it used to :)

I really liked the simple, clean design of the old one. Another thing I liked was that it was a photography blog that didn’t try and jam umpteen million different photos into their logo or on their front page. There were just relevant photos for the articles.
I dunno… The old one was a bit plain, but I think the new is a bit flashy… Took me a little while to figure out what I was supposed to be reading the first time I saw it. Better than the default WP theme though.
I think it’s rather cluttered and squeezed together. What you could do would be to make the frame a bit wider and put more white space between the items.
The contrast between text and background is also rather low.
And finally, the item “Equipment protection” in the menu doesn’t display correctly for me. (on Firefox 2.0 – its displayed in two lines while overlapping the item below it)
Kudos for changing the style though!
Old was cleaner and nicer looking! Not sure about the colours in this new one..
the old one was simple prexisting template… so any move away from that is good. however the 4 images at the top kinda look like buttons but aren’t… not crazy about that… it makes me think the site has color coding but it hasn’t
menu bar pn left is nice n clean so that’s good
i think the search button should be visible from top of page (feature is used a lot on similar sites)
change is good.
good luck
It looks like a clown puked after eating too much candy. It’s hideous and amateur looking
I think that the new design is a quite nice one.
The only think I’m not sure about is the background image in the top left of the page. What exactly is it, and what’s it doing there? Is it wood? Is it…? I think that should go, but otherwise I think the new design is great.
This one is cleaner and the information is easyer to find.
But I preffered the previous look.
Anyway, I don’t really mind the design ‘caus the content is the best.
I acctually quite like it, but you should use a bigger font. The one you are using now is way to small for me to read if the text is a bit long.
any change is a good change. nice move.
