Opening a wine bottle without a cork screw
On Christmas Eve, we went over to the house of an old family friend when the conversation turned to a Youtube video that showed a man in France opening a wine bottle with his shoe because he did not have a cork screw.
We decided to give it a try, even though we did have a cork screw.
The video is in two clips because I made the mistake of turning the camera off. But it was only off a couple of seconds, so it is in real time.
Check out Nathan in action.

Hmmm, alcohol, a wall, bare hands, a glass bottle. Should be interesting in emergency rooms (and dry cleaners) for the next few days. Interesting, though.
so instead of the cutaway where they swapped the bottles in the original you just made up a story about switching the camera off?
I didn't make up any story
Mmm… Tastes like bottle shock.
Cool trick, but OMG bottle shock! Now, you only have to let it rest and aerate for a couple days to bring it back to normal. LOL!
I've been crazy enough desperate to try this (if I knew about it). Fun and potentially useful video.
Thats funny but not good for the wine. As commented generally earlier, vibrations let alone pounding should be avoided.

people who think wine is to be savored or whatever should stop kidding themselves. it's just booze. And particularly rank booze, at that. Give me english cider any day of the week. Rotten Apples > Rotten Grapes.
