Pentax apologises for some dodgy sensors

It seems as if something went a bit awry in the manufacturing process of some of the sensors that went into Pentax’s K-5. Some of the sensors are stained and it can make it look as if there are water droplets on some of their images. Clean the sensor and they’re still there.

If you’ve been unlucky enough to pick up a camera with one of the dodgy sensors, your images might be coming out with spots a bit like this:

Thankfully Pentax is on the case, so should you have an affected camera, get in contact with your local Pentax service centre to arrange a free repair. There are more details here.
