PhotoPlus Sneak Peek
Today we had a sneak peek at some of the stuff that will be present at the 2011 PhotoPlus Expo in NY. Noticably absent were Nikon and Canon. Many of the press that I talked to wanted to get their grubby little paws on the Canon 1D X but they'll have to fight it out with everyone else on the floor at the Canon booth.
I'll go into each of these in more detail later but for now here's a quick rundown of some cool and interesting stuff that was on the floor.
I got to see a GigaPan Epic 100 with a Canon Rebel in action. It's pretty cool tech but I ask you, and I asked them, who is this for?
There's a cool product called LensBand that'll help if you suffer from zoom creep.
Samsung has a new camera that I might be lusting after. The NX200 packs a whopping 20.3 megapixels in a compact size. Can I do without a viewfinder?
ThinkTank was pimping out their newest bag accessories. I spoke with one of the reps who said once I go the belt route I'll give up all using shoulder bags forever.
Nissin is a third party flash manufacturer and I have to say I'm pretty impressed with how intuitive their user interface seems to be. Their ring flash was pretty awesome.
GraphiStudio has some new papers and books. I used their books when I was shooting weddings and my clients loved them.
