Pixiq Welcomes Mac Holbert!
Mac Holbert has been involved with digital photography for over 20 years. In 1989 he and Graham Nash co-founded Nash Editions—a pioneer in digital printmaking. Many of you will, no doubt, remember being wowed by the early Indigo prints they produced at PhotoPlus shows in the early-to-mid 1990s. Later, Nash Editions endorsed Epson printers and the co-founders often appeared at trade shows in the Epson booth where people lined up for signed prints. Nash Editions established an international reputation for fine-art printing.
Before getting involved in digital imaging, Mac had the good fortune to be tour manager for such illustrious music groups such as Crosby, Stills & Nash, Peter, Paul & Mary and Carole King. Mac has also been active in the environmental movement and has produced benefits for the Costeau Society and Greenpeace. He lectures extensively on many aspects of digital photography, teaches workshops, and beta tests products for Epson, Adobe and others. Mr. Holbert’s clients have included William Claxton, Robert Heinecken, Stephen Shore, David Hockney, Douglas Kirkland, Eric Fischl, Danny Lyon, Pedro Meyer, Joyce Neimanas, Olivia Parker, and Maggie Taylor. Mac has won several awards for his work in digital photography including DIMA’s Lifetime Achievement Award (2007) and the 2000 Computerworld Smithsonian Medal. We are proud to welcome Mac Holbert and encourage you to follow his blog, Powered By Light, on Pixiq!

Fantastic! Mac is a magician with prints. I've given him a file and he comes back with a piece of art I didn't know existed in the file. Can't wait to read.
I took a workshop from Mac a year ago. Fantastic! He has an understanding of digital imaging that is well steeped in traditional aesthetics. I don't anyone else that teaches digital imaging the way he does. Can't wait for more!
Listened to Mac at one Epson Print Academy session. I welcome his knowledge!
Happy to see Mac Holbert here.
