I think it is important to look to the future for the things that might change the world. One of those things is our educational institutions which currently stifles creativity. As mentioned in this video, I believe that we are all created with creative abilities.  We all start out with a playful and creative mind and then the powers that be seem to pull us away from our playful beginnings.

To me, play is the most creative thing there is. Play allows us to explore and to innovate and make things and pretend.  When we play we are being creative. I believe that play has the potential to bring out the best in us. Play opens the door to discovery and invention. Playful creativity can be the catalyst for new ideas and new ways of seeing that can change our world and make us better. I see creativity is a form of communication and a language. I believe that creativity is as important as literacy!

There is a wonderful conference that takes place several times a year called TED.

"TED is a small nonprofit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading.
