(Video) Preparing Raw File for NIK in Lightroom Part 1
How I prepare a raw file in Lightroom for NIK software
Caveat: This is by no means a definitive guide to using Lightoom and NIK. As a matter of fact, in part I, I just about make it to NIK Dfine. When I looked to see how long the final video was, it was about 25 minutes and the file was huge, so I decided to break it up into three parts.
Part I would be the preparation, or the approach. Part II would cover the bulk of NIK though I have a feeling that this may be too much. And the last part would be about final sharpening which believe it or not is a big and complex (at least for me) subject. Even as I sit here writing this, and thinking about what to say - this first video is still being "encoded."
But the idea of how to prepare a file, in this case a RAW file, in Lightroom, for further work may be interesting to beginners and experts alike. Hopefully, the latter can even add some tips that I'm glossing over.
Dave
p.s. I see I spelled preparation wrong in the video title but don't know how to fix that without re-uploading or re-doing something that will take a long time to process.
