Reader Photo of the Week: walk.away
walk.away by pretty life photography
We’re changing the format of our Wednesday posts from “Wordless Wednesdays” to “Reader Photo of the Week” because there has been a bit of confusion where a few people here and there have left comments thinking that the photos were my own. These posts are an effort to inspire great photography by showing off what some of our readers are doing with their cameras and their minds.

very effective
What a great retro shot. It looks straight from the 50's or 40's. Thanks for clearing things up about where the weekly featured photos come from. I have noticed that the photographer often makes comments thanking you for featuring their photo.
oh, I love this so much just as the picture, but the tags add a little something extra. big hugs, I had a year like that last year continuing into this. It's hard, especially with family, but sometimes so necessary.
I love the retro look! Surely there was a bit of photoshopping added to get the look just right? These days a good photographer needs to be adept at photo manipulation programs, along with being able to wield a lens.
OH and I would like to wish you, Damien, and all the good people who frequent this blog, an awesome 2010, filled with peace and abundance (not too mention kickass photos!)
I like your new idea my friend, looking forward to seeing what new posts are delivered on Wednesdays :D
Till then,
Jean
Yes these featured photos are some of my favorite posts. I don't know a whole lot about photography equipment yet, but anyone can relate to a well shot photo.
Very interesting to post the comment over here very good pictures were posted out here.
Thanks for clearing this up.... but this is amazing it looks just like a 50's shot scaned in... Amazing what you can do with photoshop now.
Fantastic Photo, The whole style of the photo looks in the 50's.
cool stuff i like this idea, just starting out myself with the photography, hopefully my work one day gets on this site.
Fine photo
nice pictures, really.
Good to see its still imagination and creativity that make a great shot - not just the latest gadgets.
Yes photoshop definitely is a photographer's best friend. You simply cannot create effects like this with a camera alone.
Hello
This is very nice retro shot.Actually I like creativity and idea in this photograph. This looks from 40's or 50's.Thank you very much for showing this photograph to us.
very effective
!!!!
The same thing happened to me last week, but with my ipod. I didn't use it for a day, then when I tried it again, it worked. So since I am not a computer techie, the only advice I can offer is to wait a day and try it again.
Yup that's right Laptop, we humans can relate to photographs, just about anything visually appealing gets our attention :D
Till then,
Jean
Many Thanks! The information on site is great, but when it comes to a topic like photography, it's always nicer to have visual samples to use for inspiration!
