More nightime displays of Holiday lights.

In the Gallery- A sampling of festive holiday lights captured near my home in Upstate NY over the past week or so. As you may notice, I tend to go for the simpler scenes that depict more of the middle and working class. I also go for those places that are not gated communities, or neighborhoods where I might not get shot! : )

I love the use of HDR to capture the night. This holiday season, I've been shooting nighttime HDR in an attempt to capture the full color and detail of a small portion of this annual luminous transformation.

This seems to be the one time of the year that we open ourselves to the ideas that there should be more humanity in this world. Wouldn't it be great to have that spirit with us every moment of every day throughout the year!

May the season fill us with goodness, an appreciation for all life and openness to all cultures. May it bring sanity back into our thinking and love into our hearts.
