If you've ever wondered if video will replace photography just look at the 45 Most Powerful Photographs of 2011.  I know the trend at the moment revolves around shooting video but let us not forget the power of a still image.  Last month, CNN announced it was laying off photogournalists because it could now depend on user-generated content.  Yes, it's true that there are more people with camera's today than ever before, but what CNN will soon learn is that it takes a trained photojournalist to capture consistently powerful images.  

As 2011 comes to an end remember to keep your camera by your side to document the special moments in life, but also don't forget to document the day to day moments as well because what seems ordinary today will be classic tomorrow.
