The Ultimate Memory Maker for Happiness: your photographs

Untouched photo takes with my Nikon Coolpix while kayaking

According to the latest theories, older people tend to be happier. Some psychologists believe that cognitive processes are responsible: in particular, focusing on and remembering positive events and leaving behind negative ones are what aid this process. And perhaps that is what we do with our photographs; it has been hypothesized  that focusing on positive events helps older people regulate their emotions, letting them view life in a sunnier light. "There is a lot of good theory about this age difference in happiness," says psychologist Derek M. Isaacowitz of Northeastern University, "but much of the research does not provide direct evidence" of the links between such phenomena and actual happiness. Positive memories seem to be the ticket. This must be why I constantly photograph: to preserve the happiness of my memory. So with that, I leave you with my recent photographs captured yesterday while happily winter kayaking in January!! Yes, in the Northeast and loving it. To learn more about processes and how I continue to make myself happy by making art, get my book, Digital Image Transfer: Creating Art With Your Photography.
Ever art.
