Tell me about photo blogs
Are you a photographer occasionally writing about photography? Post a comment.
Do you have your own photography blog? Post a comment.
Do you know of a site who runs DIY projects that sometimes are about photography? Post a comment.
Do you have a website which has some original angle on anything? Post a comment.
Do you run a page which has nothing to do with anything I’d be remotely interested in? Post a comment anyway.
See a pattern yet? Exactly – I’m very curious to find out more about what makes my readers tick – and of course, I’m looking for new sources from where I can pilfer ideas for interesting articles for Photocritic.
Too shy to post a comment in public? Send me an email instead – get your submissions in to hajejan@photocritic.org!
You can even send press releases, if you are a company, but if they are crap, prepare to be ridiculed.
Do you enjoy a smattering of random photography links? Well, squire, I welcome thee to join me on Twitter - Follow @Photocritic

Comments
Well, I do have some photo related stuff, but I do not feature my gallery or albums promenently on my site.
I did post about some DIY and frugal photography a little while back wherein Photocritic.org was added in the comments. I link to several sites with some good info.
Also, there is a little post on how to get the most out of your consumer digital camera.
Well, I’m not shy. :-) I have a photo blog (see above), and I’ve enjoyed this site and have gotten several ideas of things that I want to try.
I don’t have any DIY tutorials, and I’m not sure if it’s an original angle (or any kind of angle), but I’ve been writing lately on my film-based digital workflow at Treemeat.com.
I run a blog about my experience with photography as well as some tutorials, info articles and links to cool photography stuff.

:)
As someone who has just started out in photography I wanted a project that would help me learn many of the different techniques used.
I am attempting to take and post a new photo every day the year – at times this has effectiely been a photo blog.
I am achieving what I wanted in that almost every day I am learning something new.
Take a look : http://www.kgmarsch.co.uk
I have a photoblog at http://www.thosedarktrees.com and a regular text blog at http://www.thosedarktrees.com/blog/. Neither are super, but they’re mine.
Well, here’s mine. http://lightphotos.blogspot.com
There are links to my other photo blogs at the bottom of the page.
Here’s mine personal photodiary.
Ooops… http://photo.webgriffe.com
Various posts about photography (kit, photos, Flickr) mixed with some ramblings about technology in general at http://andypiper.wordpress.com/
I am new to photography and am new to blogging. It has all been a bit of a reverlation to me to be honest. Anyway i have set up this site. I also photoblog a pic per day @ http://www.flickr.com/photos/subfoz/ and @ http://mologophoto.blogspot.com/.
To be honest if it is photoblogging that you are interested in then you cannot go far wrong with flickr. You could spend years there :D
Also i regularly check in on
http://o-pad.blogspot.com/
there are often some great pics posted here.
oops my website is http://www.mologo.co.uk
While it is hard to compare with some of these posts, I’ve got my Flickr page at http://flickr.com/photos/wolever/
well im not shy either, i’ve been trying for a while now to drive more traffic to my site, and to actually have someone ask for photobogs? well i wont turn them down :P i’ve also been a long time follower of photocritic, great blog, great job.. keep it up.
lies and more lies. because the camera always lies.
you might find some stuff here:
http://www.photogalaxy.com/articles.php
here’s mine: http://www.photographyjam.com/. It’s pretty new; maybe the stuff on there is a bit too basic for you :-)
Also… here is a PhotoGalaxy.com-related blog that you might want to look at:
http://photogalaxy.wordpress.com/
Well, you’ve linked to me before, so you already know… but I’m running Still Life With… a little blog focused on food photography.
I dabble in photography and photomanipulations (of the fantasy sort). I took my photography portfolio down but I still have stuff at my deviantART site (renilicious.deviantart.com) to view. I love this site. The links are great, the articles are always interesting even if I might not practice the vein of photography they’re about or need the items/systems they’re talking about. DA is also fantastic for photography enthusiasts. Heaps of marvelous galleries there.
This pages idea different from others. There arent lot of photos there. but photo owners can share theirs emotions when they took or looked this photographs. May be they should have a story about this photograph. I am from Turkey. When I started this page it was turkish but I saw there were different visitors from other countries so I decided to make it in two languages. It is now turkish and english
I’ve got a blog where I occasionally talk of photo stuff (and whatever else comes to mind). http://gmr2048.blogspot.com.
I also share a photo site with a friend. http://www.eighteenpercent.net.
And I’m a Pisces. I like long walks on the beach. And sunsets. My turn-ons are honesty, humor, the ability to weld, big b00biez and good beer. Turn-offs are hairy knuckles, Bud Light, Nascar, and Nikon users ;)
Well, you asked for it (where’s the preview button?)
http://fotoblog.ro is a Romanian photography blog.
Photos are showing more urban life in Bucharest, news about cultural life and events. Photo contest.
Mainly is English based, but there are also articles in Romanian.
These are daily visits for me:

and, for extra DIY goodness, the f295 DIY forum: http://www.f295.org/DIYforum/cgi-bin/forum/Blah.pl/Blah.pl?
Mine is http://photondetector.com/blog/
It’s a blog about, rather than of, photography, focussed on film, DIY and camera hacking, experimental photography, and digital as it relates to film (nothing against digital, but there are better places with full time staff to go for that).
Others I like:

I wonder if my ramblings at http://lenify.wordpress.com/ will interest you? But then again, you probably get to read me on planet #photogeeks!
Mostly I just post the results of my photography with some commentary about how I arrived at them. Sometimes public musings regarding creative insights or (more often) lack thereof. Hopefully soon, some tips for escaping that malaise.
Here is my site: http://www.fototiller.com. Fototiller is a blog covering all things photographic, with a particular focus on the intersection of photography and design and indie photo trends. The site features photo products and accessories (frames, albums, camera equipment, etc.), photo inspired design and diy photo projects and photo crafts and photo tutorials.
Hi there, I’m a scientist writing about photography, focusing on different ways of seeing things. I try to make a bridge between photography and a scientific visualisation.
Mine’s here : http://www.hyperhex.com
Check it out.
It is a personal photoblog, updated randomly, whenever.
Currently I am working on my latest series of photographs taken in Angkor Wat. Will upload day 2 soon.
I have a photo journal and a regular journal.
I just found this site, but will be back regularly.

http://www.sergiodelatorre.com :)
This is a great site…
http://www.pixalo.com
Recently opened again and contains some great articles that could be useful to photographers. One of the recent additions is how to get your photography published and another is about a professional freelance photographer. The site also has a free gallery and equipment reviews as well as a growing community. Take a look around it :-)
I would like to let you know about a new photography website concept that we have built. http://www.photozook.com is a photo review site with a twist.
The site is currently in beta form.
The site is for photographers to show off their work and get constructive comments on their work. This is not a photo sharing or storage site, but there is no limit as to the number of images a photographer may upload for comments or voting, although we envision photographers uploading no more than 10-20 images per week.
The main goal of the site is for photographers to post an image to the site either by uploading or linking from their own site. This image is then put in the photo queue were people can vote on the image if they like it. Once a photo get’s enough votes, it is automatically promoted to the front page of the site.
A vote means you like the image, a non-vote means you are not fond of the image. We tried to make it as simple as possible.
Users can also leave comments on the photo as well.
The site is completely free and is open to anyone who wants to upload images.
To upload or comment, you need to log in. Registration takes all of about 10 seconds and requires a username, email and password.
So, if you have a couple spare moments, please stop by and check it out.
I also would like to hear what you think about the concept as well as the functionality.
http://www.photozook.com
A couple notes:
1. The look and feel is temporary. It is being changed.
2. Once we get the main functionality working as expected, we will be adding additional features.
3. If you have any issues or problems uploading or linking to your image, please let me know.
Here is my collection. Any critiques are welcome and encouraged. Thanks.
Hi there, not exactly ground breaking but I just posted a DIY wrist strap how-to on my site http://www.mattyfu.com/wriststrap.html
Keep up the good work,
Matt

I’ve just made this ring light, would you like to post instruction, http://www.flickr.com/photos/rodolfonovak/196695115/
have a look on th pics to see the result.
I’m a Los Angeles based photographer providing actor headshots, model portfolios, commercial photography.
My site has several helpful and exclusive articles including “Headshots: Some things every actor should know” and “Modeling: Some things every model should know” under the resources section.
I have a photoblog with nothing very interesting.
well, I do not own a photoblog, but do have my personal gallery hosted on it. It has a few pictures of, guess what… the pringles macro! ;). For the record.
My site features a blog that covers travel and photography. But since I’m home as of this week, I expect it will talk more about photography. It’s a supplement to my photo galleries and includes a few articles (more to come!).
http://www.dsphotographic.com
My photography blog is aptly named: “F8andBeThere”. I once read that in a photo magazine when I started photography in 1991.
I also thought it appropriate because it’s also the fixed focal length of my 600mm mirror lens :)
My main website has a gallery with a slew of images, ranging from portraits to landscape to street photography to abstract and obscure.
I also list some basic photo tips; my photography credits; my gear; photographers who inspire me; and some personal background.
See my website for links to my blog and a WAP version of my site.

I have my photoblog at http://photoblog.fandino.net
And I have a blog devoted to photography, it’s called Foto Digital Mexico (http://www.foto-digital.com.mx) It’s in spanish and I cover not only the news about cameras and accesories, but I have also news of events related to photo and photo competitions in Latin America and Spain.
Since you asked so nicely I’ll post a link to my photblog :) – http://pblog.cutback.org
My site eolake.blogspot.com is about photography, and many other things too.
My primary blog (see above) has some photography related content and a now short-lived picture-a-day portion. The photoblogging will continue at some point at a different location (when time permits to install). More photography related content will probably appear once I find time to redesign the site and get the daily photoblogging going again.
My wife and I also publish a daily photoblog of our dogs, The Life of Jalo at http://fierymill.net/loj/.
Alrighty. I’ve got one. A bit of diy, a lot of photos, a little text..Take a peek.
