Turn an Average Wedding into an Extraordinary Wedding
Wedding photography can be a tough compromise for many photojournalists. When it comes to the formal family groupings sometimes you have to grin and bear it and sometimes you don’t.
Consider thinking of the “Lifestyle Wedding” approach.
You have to have a laid back and lighthearted demeanor but this “looseness” can pay off in the long run. It’s about rolling with the punches and working with what you’ve got.
Turning the ordinary into extraordinary.
Combining informal black and white reportage with creative, natural color photography can give you the style and uniqueness to set you apart and produce works that blow your brides away!
When faced with the formal family group shots give them a friendly relaxed feeling instead of the formal structure that most group photos exhibit.
Crave the challenge.
Wedding photography is about facing challenges and creating stylistic photographs that are unique to the bride and groom. You do this by combining many different styles and disciplines of photography technique.
This “tutorial” or “tip” isn’t complete. It requires personal insight, public input, and more practice. There are so many things that go into a unique and successful wedding photography business.
What are some of the things you do as a wedding shooter to set yourself apart? How do you turn the average wedding into an extraordinary wedding?
