Poladroid: Polaroid Instant Fakes
Poladroid is a fun software app that brings back the nostalgia of instant imaging.
This little app creates instant Polaroid-like images that can be created by simply dragging and dropping any jpg image on the Polaroid camera Icon on your desktop. Once dropped, the camera simulates the process of shooting and developing the images into Polaroid look-a-likes with Polaroid frames, random Polaroid like coloring, Polaroid softness, edge vignetting and if you want, it can also produce fingerprints.

When you drop an image onto the camera, a simulated flash is fired, a new image is ejected from the camera, the film slowly begins to develop and you can watch the development take place and stop the process at any point. If you let them process fully, they will open up in Preview on a Mac. The images are saved to a folder on your hard drive at a decent size scaled to a real Polaroid for printing. There are only 10 shots like the camera and then you reload by restarting the program.

I would suggest cropping the images in Photoshop prior to dropping them onto the camera.
They can make great snaps to send to friends. I sometimes use them for other imaging possibilities which I might discuss at some point in the near future.
