Two Photographers Missing in Libya

Tyler Hicks, Lynsey Addario Missing With Two Others

By Jack Reznicki

We're a small tribe, we photographers, and photojournalists in war zones are the warriors of our tribe. Warriors without guns. They take unbelievable chances, risk their lives, to show everyone what these situations, these events, these wars really look like. Their images can move what people think and understand like nothing else can.

Two New York Times photographers Tyler Hicks and Lynsey Addario along with two of their colleagues are now missing in Libya. To read more about both and what little news we know (Libya officials looking for them, whatever that means) go to the NPPA website here.

They put themselves on the line, in harm's way, because it's who they are, not just what they do. Please keep these fellow photographers in your thoughts and prayers.
