Stylish new Union range camera bags from Acme Made
My camera bag requirements are pretty basic: enough room for a camera, a couple of lenses, and some extras; messenger-bag style for easy access (and good when I’m on my bike); padded and weather-proof (isn’t that the point?); and I don’t want it to look like a camera bag. I mean, who wants to wander around with their bag effectively acting as a great neon beacon saying ‘Look! Look! Thousands of pounds-worth of camera kit here!’ Thankfully, I think that the dudes at Acme Made have been listening to these heart-felt desires.
They’ve just brought out the Union range of camera bags: stylish, practical, and they don’t look like camera bags.
First up is the Union Photo Messenger (which is probably the one for me). It’s made from durable, waterproof Bombshell technical fabric and is big enough for a dSLR and a couple of spare lenses. There’s a sneaky hidden exterior lens cap pocket as well as accessory pockets so things won’t get lost at the bottom of it. And you can have it in any colour so long as it’s black, for £60. Super.
Next is the slightly smaller Union Kit Messenger, which’ll hold an entry level dSLR and kit lens, or something a bit more EVIL with a change of lens. It’s made from the same Bombshell technical fabric and also has nifty pockets. All for £50. (It’s the one in the featured image, by the way.)
Finally there’s the Union Ultra-Zoom, the dinkiest bag in the lineup, and the cheapest at £40. This one has been designed to carry around a mirror-less camera or a compact with a stonking great zoom on it. There’s space enough for some essentials, such as a spare memory card, too. You can carry it across your body or even attach it to your belt. (I’d probably end up with my trousers around my ankles if I did that. But anyway.)
Fancy one? Head over Acme Made’s online store for more details and credit-card boxes.
