Virginia cop seizes video camera, then has change of heart

A Virginia Commonwealth University police officer was questioning a group of people who were feeding the homeless in a park when he was confronted by a videographer.

At first, the cop reacted like most cops would react; telling the videographer that he was not allowed to record. He eventually grabs the camera from the man and wrestles it from him.

Once the officer had possession of the camera, witnesses began asking for his badge number, according to the videographer.

It was only then that the officer returned the camera and allowed him to continue recording, even telling him his name was “Corporal Lee” and his badge number was 185.

So maybe Corporal Lee is a decent cop who allowed common sense to prevail over common thuggery.

More than likely, he only gave it back because there were witnesses asking for his badge number.

Change of heart? We call that ‘backpedaling’ around here. Especially when there are tons of witnesses.

The witnesses make him backtrack. But what issue does he have with people feeding the homeless? I think the cop had a power trip cut short.
