Vote for my blog in the South Florida Sun-Sentinel Best of Blogs Awards contest
For the rest of the month, I’m going to be tormenting my readers about voting for my blog in the South Florida Sun-Sentinel Best of Blogs Awards.
In an attempt to become more interactive with the blogging community – not to mention an attempt to increase registration to its site – the Sun-Sentinel has created several categories to enable readers to vote for their favorite blog.
But the main category, the one where I would ask you to vote for me, is the Best Overall Blog category.
They also have my blog listed in the “Art/DIY” category as well as the “Politics” and “Photography” categories.
Unfortunately, they removed my blog from the “News” category, which is where I believe it fits in more appropriately than the other categories. It was in the News category last week during the nomination process, so who knows why they removed it.
As I mentioned, to vote you need to register on the Sun-Sentinel’s site, something I know my readers are reluctant to do. But it takes less than a minute and it would be cool to win.
The main prize is nothing more than a $100 certificate from Target and bragging rights.
But bragging rights does count for something.
Below are the icons that will lead you directly to the categories I am in. You can vote in those categories, but don’t forget the main category, which is the Best Overall Blog.

I’m sorry Carlos, but I’m going to have to sit this election out… Not because I don’t think you should win, but because I already know your blog is the best.

I haven’t forgotten about MB 411 and I’ve been voting for it along with a few others, including the Burger Beast.
I will do an official endorsement in my next post about this topic to harass my readers into voting.
