Weekend Perusing: Four Benches
Discovered Art:
I love the mood of this image by Victor Palagano. The lamp post breaks up the symmetry of the photo and creates conflict in the viewer. You can purchase the 9×12 Fine Art Giclee Print Four Benches at DiscoveredArtists for $240. Not bad if you ask me.
In the Photoblogosphere:
If you’re a wedding photographer, want to be a wedding photographer, or need to hire a wedding photographer it’s good to know why weddings are so expensive. As a photographer you shouldn’t be afraid to charge what you are worth. Be expensive! It’s okay, I promise.
Speaking of weddings; here’s a great set of engagement photographs for some inspiration. It is that time of year after all.
Did you catch that The Whitehouse has it’s own Flickr account! Seriously cool images of Obama and the staff in their first 100 days. All politics aside I love that they are trying to be more transparent.
Photojojo has a really slick bowler camera bag for all of you fashionistas out there. Nice retro feel to it.
So I love the idea of the Kindle, but as a person who reads mostly books on photography I need color images. I certainly wouldn’t mind forgoing paper books to save trees and all. There are rumors that I like. I would so get one of these ASAfrekingP. I’m just saying…

Ever needed to batch crop your images? This video will help if you are using Lightroom.
In the Photography Podosphere:
Thoughts on Photography has a great podcast covering some of the best places on the web to enjoy fine art photography. You are listening to that podcast right? RIGHT?!! Just checking.
In Your Photo Tips news:
I’ll have the book review up this weekend. There was an issue with shipping that finally got solved so I’m a little behind.
Don’t forget you can win a camera in our linking giveaway. It’s super easy so why not? Besides, who couldn’t use an extra camera?

I love that benches shot!
Very dynamic and interesting....
it seems to be so quite in there i wish if i could be there as well....
Obama has truly embraced social media, and there was lots of comment about this during and after his successful election campaign. It is gratifying to see that the trend towards using internet technology is being perpetuated by the white house's flickr presence.
It's an incredible shot.
