Trees study #10 by Gianni Fardelli

Really love this image: I Was Falling High over at FILE Magazine.

In the Photoblogosphere

You gotta love the back and forth between these two blogs. Digital is Better Than Film or Film is Better Than Digital ? I happen to agree with both! Yep…that’s me NOT picking a side.

Digital Photography Student has a book review of Lonely Planet’s Guide to Travel Photography that’s worth checking out.

Motivation has a great article on the argument for small prints . Very compelling.

There’s an often asked question in Photojournalism: To Take a Picture or Save a Live? I know I would have done the same in that particular situation. I’m not a photojournalist anyway so it may be a moot point?

A quick congrats to a friend of Your Photo Tips for getting his first book cover! Great job Rob!

I love a good “How I did it” photo breakdown . Don’t you?

Photo Gear

Here’s a very interesting PDF on Point and Shoot Camera Failure Rates. I suppose the cynic in my should not be surprised…but he is. I’m guessing my next point and shoot may be a Panasonic? This is a MUST read!

Let me get this straight: The camera I covet + One of my favorite shows (House)? Yes…they really did shoot an entire episode of House with a Canon 5D Mark II ! I can’t wait to see it.

In Post-Production

The Discerning Photographer has a nicely detailed article on Using the Mask Feature in Photoshop Adjustment Layers .
