Another great wordless wednesday photo. I love the colors of this one. The sky is so gloomy, but the vibrant fields provide a great contrast.
Yeah, this is a great collection of mood and color.
What a surprise and honour to have this chosen for the blog.
I shot this with a Canon 400D, using a basic ND filter.
A little work on the RAW file then some curve adjustments finished it off.
Half Forest Castle is located just outside Kintore in the NE of Scotland. A wee hidden gem. Its not on any maps or signposted.
Robert the Bruce, King of Scotland used it as a hunting lodge in the 1300's and Mary, Queen of Scots was known to stay the odd night.
Thanks for picking this and for the comments
Well, it truly is a great photograph and I'm loving all the work you show.
Thank you for the additional information about this photo. It is nice to have a location to connect with the photo. Great photo. I love how the blues & yellows contrast each other.
I agree. The extra information really adds to the overall expression of the image.
Hey Damien,
I enjoy your wordless Wednesdays posts. They are so wonderful and made me ponder about them always.
Keep on posting like this.

The stark juxtaposition of the gray sky with the green grass is too perfect for words.
Thanks for all the kind comments.
