Absolutely. We all interpret visual stimuli in accordance to our past and our present mood. That's why photography, and other visual arts, resonate so well with so many people.

Nice shot, but with great lighting and a good camera it'd make a good picture whatever she was doing :-) The pics i take of my kids never look this good!

Taking pictures of your own kids can always be tough. It just takes lot's of practice and patience.

I agree that this shot is better than any photo I will likely ever take of my children. Still it is something to aspire towards. It makes me want to get out there and practice some new techniques.
