Canon & iPad

Apple has some hardware and an app that allows photos to be downloaded from your digital camera. Has anyone used this with a Canon DSLR?
Also, does anyone know of an app that would allow a Canon 10D to be controlled from an iPad?

The Apple software for downloading images would be tied to iPhoto or Aperture. If you're running a Mac you might want to look into these programs. The program I use with my Mac is Lightroom 3.
There is a new app for the iPad that controls cameras (including video on those that have the feature) coming out in December from onOne software. Whether the 10D will work with this app, I'm not sure. Look at their website for more info.
Thanks.
The OnOne app requires that the camera be connected to a computer. The iPad communicates with the computer and then the computer controls the camera. My hope is to eliminate the computer.
Since posting my question, I contacted Canon tech support. They say little remote control/live viewing of the LCD on a 10D is possible. However, there is iPad support for more recent Canon cameras. Here is their response for the 5D (although this does sound like a rather expensive solution):
"If you have the EOS 5D Mark II with the Wireless File Transmitter WFT-E4
II A, you can use the WFT Server mode to take full control of the camera
and see a live streaming preview from the camera. As with the original
EOS 5D, you can also browse the contents of the camera's memory card.
"In either case, you will need to have the camera's Wireless File
Transmitter and the iPad on the same infrastructure (Airport-based) or
ad hoc (computer to computer) network, and you will need to know the IP
address of the camera on that network. Simply plug the IP address into
the address bar in Safari after configuring the HTTP or WFT Server mode
on the camera, and you are ready to go. There is no app to install, the
control is managed completely through a web page served by the wireless
file transmitter."
